The image "Mississippi Discovered" from our American Photos Gallery (HiVu #2287) is probably factory produced from a painting of the same name or taken by Canon Spencer from the original. The coloring by hand was a challenging and exacting task. Young women and boys were employed to do this. These slides were in high demand.✞
